The Department of Labor and Employment-Quirino Field Office (DOLE-QFO), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Quirino, conducted a series of profiling for 9,012 Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers Program (TUPAD) beneficiaries to six (6) towns starting June 17, 2022.
The said activity is part of the pre-implementation phase of the aforementioned program to assess whether prospective beneficiaries meet the minimum requirements based on the guidelines for the program.
The profiling was facilitated by a team of QFO TUPAD coordinators with the assistance from the provincial government’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
The beneficiaries are composed of persons with disabilities (PWD), tricycle drivers and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) whose employment were severely affected by the pandemic.
An orientation to the beneficiaries was also conducted to ensure that beneficiaries are equipped with all the necessary information prior to their deployment for 10 days. The beneficiaries were briefed about the implementation of the program and payment of wages including coverage to the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
With the high volume of beneficiaries in each municipality, minimum health protocols were strictly observed during the profiling activivities. ###
