Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya – The Department of Labor and Employment-Nueva Vizcaya Field Office (DOLE-NVFO) attended the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Awarding of its “Buy Local Kiosk,” highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the “Buy Local Implementation” in this town last July.

The said signing is intended for the implementation/adoption of the Buy Local Advocacy and the Memorandum of Agreement for the implementation of the Consumer Education and Advocacy Program of the DTI which aims to promote and patronize Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Region II.

The activity was attended by DTI Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, DTI Provincial Director Marietta B. Salviejo, DOLE OIC-Provincial Director Elizabeth Martinez, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer II, Engr. Rustico R. Turingan, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Provincial Director Perla V. Lucas, and Saint Mary’s University (SMU) President, Dr. John Octavious S. Palina.

Representatives of Municipal Mayors from the municipalities of Aritao, Bagabag, Santa Fe, and Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya were also present during the activity.

The participants were also urged to visit the FabLab Exhibit Walkthrough at the Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) to further showcase the production of the local products, thereby promoting the patronization of products, materials, and machines used and services offered by the Nueva Vizcaya Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab). ###
